Herewith Victor VBS 69 Nano badminton restring review;
This Victor VBS 69 Nano string in Singapore not much player will choose this string to restring on their racket. Because of the string thickness ( String gauge ) is thicker, so this string mostly are selected by player who are need more durability for their racket.
If you are at beginner level and need more durability, this string are good to choose. But if you need more repulsion for this string, it will be not suitable for you as it;s too thick. You may try on Victor VBS-63 or VBS-66 Nano for better repulsion power.
Review from Eric : Durability is good if you are looking at power smash and need to have more longer lifetime for the string, for me i will string it at 27lbs for my leisure game.
However below are Victor VBS 69 badminton restring experiment DT test at 28lbs.
First day : 57 – 59 DT
Second day : 53 to 55 DT
Third day : 51 to 52 DT
If you are used to use thick string like Yonex BG65 , you can try this string at it will feel much better compare to BG65. As this string you will feel more repulsion and better hitting sound. Most of the thicker string the main thing to show is durability, but they not focus in repulsion and power. So this Victor VBS 69 Nano badminton string you will feel the string is a bit hard feeling but you will still get the repulsion power.
And for VBS69 badminton restringing process we will using the proper stringing method for all our member. Why? If this type of string you using shortcut to complete the stringing, the feel of play will be not nice. Some player might know if the string is more thick and the cost will be cheaper. Because thicker string is easier manufacture than thin string.
Most of the beginner player they will only look into cheaper price, so sometime when they randomly choose BG65 or BG6 , when they told the stringer advise which string are more durable, they will get BG65. But as a professional player also stringer, the string type and stringing method will help the player performance. Not all but people said ” 30% of racket quality and 70% of stringing.
For the past 10 years, we received different type of badminton racket from our member. We also received some older generation badminton racket like Carbonex 8SP or even older. Most of them when send their racket over they will probably inform us to choose the good string on his racket.
But to us we feel that even we choose the most expensive string on the older racket, it will not help much to get better feeling. Why? Because the racket if older type the maximum tension only 20-22lbs or lower. So the badminton racket is not able to go higher tension.
Yonex technology is keep going up, so their string and racket you can find the racket quality higher and higher even the tension can up to 30-35lbs. Also the Yonex digital stringing machine, the accuracy is more precise. So do you think the older racket can match with new string ? No. As per our research, we found the most of the string repulsion will be appear after 22-24lbs. So the string tension is lower than this, the string will not provide good quality.
This is the reason why sometime we will advise our member to get them the right string so that they will be able to feel better when in the court.
