LiNing No 7 Badminton Restring | Li-Ning No.7 String Review | ERR SG

Herewith Li-Ning No 7 badminton review:-

This badminton string is suitable for players who are looking for durability and hard feeling. Most of our members will use this thicker string for their leisure badminton games.  Those who have 2 rackets will string this type of “thicker” string on one racket and the other using good string like BG80.  The one that has BG80 string will be used for high quality games.  Hence, the “thicker” string racket will be used for training and low quality games.

Review from Eric:  I use this type of string for my usual coaching and sparring with my students.  It is very durable even though it has a “hard feeling”.  Nevertheless, when you are  always able to  hit the perfect contact point of this string, you will forever prefer this string.  At the same time, you will notice that you will prefer this string for a long time.

Moreover during Li-Ning No 7 badminton restring, we noticed something about  the surface coating of the string.  It is not too dry as compared with Yonex string. This also means that it is more durable.  This string is still being used by China National Team up till  today.  Often we have some members who loves to “smash” hard during their games.  They indicated that they preferred this string as it is very durable and does not burst easily.  At the same time, they mentioned that the quality is better than those other “no brand” strings.

Incidentally, for all Li-Ning No 7 badminton restring, we prefer to use 2 knots stringing method.  The reason being it can delay the tension drop which means that the tension will drop slower.

Below are Li-Ning No 7 badminton restring at 28lbs experiment DT tests.

Lining No.7 badminton restring Review from Professional Player

Most of our Professional level badminton members will only come back for restring after 1 to 2 months when they use Li-Ning No 7.  For Normal level players, they will normally come back after 6 months or more.  This confirms that the durability of the string is good.

Some of the Advance level player prefer Li-Ning No 7 badminton restring at between 27 – 29lbs.  Why?  This is because at Advance level, the players do not need any new technology in the racket or string.  They only need a racket and string that best help them to control the shuttlecock whenever they want.

How come we know all these?  We have always collected  surveys on all levels of players –from Professional, Competitive, Advance  to Leisure . All these different levels  of players are all using Li-Ning No 7.  Why is it that professional players does not need a high repulsion string or new technology racket?

The reason being, professional players has  powerful body and strength.  If given a racket that is too light, they will not be able to get used to it. Furthermore, because they swing too fast and hard, they will miss the “sweet spot” contact point with the shuttlecock.

Any Difference between Yonex BG65 and LiNing No 7 ?

A racket needs time to get used to.  We also need to apply our skills onto the racket. Many people like to change their rackets after playing for a short time only.  Very often, they will buy a new racket and send for restring.  By doing so, they will be  confused and disappointed.

After our Certified Stringer, Mr Eric Chuar has explained everything to them, they finally understand why they did not improve after so many years.  At the same time, their skill level has not gone up at all.  Part of the reason is that they keep changing their rackets.  Some players are probably still looking for a racket that suits them.  There are some who are not but they over reply on their rackets because they believe too much in the racket advertisements.

Actually this type of thick string is not a very good string. On top of this, their cost is much lower as compared with thin string.  Many brands has come out with 0.70mm string. The main reason is they want to create many range of strings for their brand. This way, customers will have many choices to choose from.

For an example, Li-Ning No 7 is about the same as Yonex BG65. Their main feature is durability.  There is not much difference. It all depends on which brand you like to support.
