Kizuna Z67P Premium String Review by ERR Badminton Stringing Singapore

Generally, most brands in the market don’t offer this diameter gauge, except for Yonex’s BG85 and Kizuna Z67 badminton string.

Review from Eric:  I prefer a harder feeling, and I find the Kizuna Z67 string to be more suitable for me compared to BG80. The Kizuna Z67 has better repulsion.

If you previously used BG80 and feel that the string doesn’t provide enough repulsion or is too stiff for you, but you still prefer a harder feeling, then Kizuna Z67 badminton stringing could be your second choice.

However, below are the results of the Kizuna Z67 badminton stringing experiment’s DT test at 27lbs.

First day: 55 – 57 DT

Second day: 52 to 54 DT

Third day: 49 to 51 DT

If you previously used a 0.68mm string such as BG80 or another brand like Victor VBS-68 Power, and you found the string to be too stiff and hard to clear the baseline, then Kizuna Z67 badminton stringing could be a good choice for you. Additionally, some leisure players always string BG66 and find it to be too soft, lacking power for smashes.

Generally, when a string is advertised as having high repulsion, it tends to be a thin string such as BG66 Ultimax or BG66 Brilliant. However, if you require more control and power due to having plenty of strength in your body, you can switch to a slightly thicker string like Kizuna Z67 badminton stringing and string it at the right tension.

Thinner strings can provide more repulsion, but if you set the tension too high, the repulsion becomes control. Many leisure players have the misconception that using the thinnest string and putting it at high tension will give them more power during the game, but this is not true. This is why our certified stringers always advise our members to choose the correct string and tension to ensure they have a good game.
