Below is CBG 200 string review:-
This CBG 200 badminton restring is one of our lowest sales in Singapore. This could be due to the fact that the string is not made of nylon. Nylon has always been considered as the grand old dame of badminton string. By the way, this string is made purely in Japan. As for control wise, this string is good. Furthermore, the shock absorption is much better as compared to other Yonex string.
We normally use CBG 200 badminton restringing for players of leisure games. This is because the durability is not that good. Therefore, it is more suited to leisure game players. Furthermore, this string does not give out a loud hitting sound. On the contrary, the string has a solid touch in control as compared to BG80 Power. On top of this, the shock absorption is pretty good for players who plays with a lot of control during their games.
During the CBG 200 badminton restring, we noticed that when a stringing clamp is used on it, it leaves a stain on the string. Thus, we believe that the durability of the string is not very good.
Review by Eric: Aside from the expensive price, when I string the CBG 200 at 25lbs, I found that the control and defence shots are both good. At the same time, I find it a bit different as compared with other Yonex thicker string.
Below are CBG 200 badminton restring experiment DT tests at 28lbs:-
First Day 57 – 59DT
Second Day 54 – 56DT
Third Day 52 – 55DT
From our experience, we can help CBG 200 racket restringing at different tension method. By doing this, we can improve the durability. In other words, the string will last longer. Actually, we feel that this string is a bit like the older generation type of string. Very much like the Yonex Carbonex x 8, original string which comes from the manufacturer. At the same time, it also look like natural synthetic gut in tennis string.
The similar string is BG65Ti as described by the manufacturer. From our experience, we feel that the string is too costly. Furthermore, the durability and hitting sound is not that good as compared to other Yonex strings. Lastly, it is up to the players as to what type of string they are comfortable with. Actually, it really depends on each individual needs and likings.
We have encountered many players who send their rackets to us every day. At the same time, they also request for different types of strings and tension for their rackets. The most important thing is that they are able to find the string of their choice. Whenever we encounter different problems, we always managed to solve their problems together.
Once there was a player that came to us for racket restringing. He told us that his friend told him that BG66 and if string at 26lbs is good. Therefore, he also would like to have the same as his friend. Our stringer just did as per his requirements. Unfortunately, 2 months later, he came back and said that he has made a mistake. Actually his friend’s string is BG66 Ultimax.
Therefore, he got the string name wrong and incomplete. At the same time, he felt that the repulsion of the string is not that good as he expected. We advised him that if he likes repulsion, perhaps he can give Yonex Aerosonic a try instead of BG66 Ultimax. After 2 months, he came back and told us that he is very happy with the string we recommended.
Finally in conclusion, it shows that we do not just follow blindly whatever International badminton stars are using. We always believe that you must always use whatever type of string or tension that suits you best. For example, Kento Momota uses BG Aerobite. This does not mean that the same string will suit you. Most important, the string must be able to suit to your style of play. If the string suits you, you will be able to feel comfortable during play.
Accordingly, you do not need a lot of strength during badminton games. The combination of your body strength together with using the right string will result in a more comfortable game. Similarly, when you start to do fitness training, we can increase the tension. Likewise, we will lower the tension if you have not recovered fully from illness. This is to prevent injury.
Lastly we would like to say that CBG 200 racket restring is smooth and soft but it is still different from BG65 Titanium. BG65 Titanium feels hard. In addition, the string feels very synthetic and soft.
The 0.70mm specially braided fibre increases string abrasion durability. The CBG200’s all-round performance makes it the choice of the world’s top players.
